SWTOR Jedi Knight Tips
There are always small things you can do in order to improve the effectiveness of your class in Star Wars The Old Republic. That is where this section on SWTOR Jedi Knight Tips comes in – once we finish up the entire site, we will load all of our best tips which didn’t fit into any of the other sections right into this article.
For now, we will be giving you some of our top tips for release that you can use in order to get a firm grasp on the Jedi Knight class. We will be adding more significant tips that we discover once we can actually get our hands on the game!
SWTOR Jedi Knight Tips – #1. Play Every Class and Talent Tree
One of the best SWTOR Jedi Knight tips I can give you is to just familiarize yourself with the entire clas. Many players will go into the Jedi Knight thinking, “I want to raid and do damage, so I am picking a Sentinel and leveling up with the Watchman talent tree and not trying anything else out”.
This is short-sighted plan and you really limit your effectiveness this way. You want to try out all the talents as you may discover that certain abilities from different trees synergize really well together. In many MMORPGs for example, the best raiding classes often use some talent points from every tree rather than pooling all their talents into one talent tree.
By learning what every single ability and talent you have access to does, you may find yourself playing a spec or using talent points you did not anticipate using originally. You may find that an unusual spec works really well on a tough encounter or that another spec wors great at a specific role in PvP.
Around release, one of the best SWTOR Jedi Knight tips is to just try everything out. You will learn the class fully this way and be much better prepared when you get to end-game.
SWTOR Jedi Knight Tips – #2. Pick a Good Leveling Build
Another good Jedi tip to use is to pick a build which lends to quick leveling and then change to other builds later in the game. You may be the tank for your guild, but there is no point in leveling up as a tank when you can level up as a DPS class and then respec once you hit level 50.
This will save you a lot of time. Also, once you have access to all your abilities it changes the dynamics of the class. Learning how to play a tank at level 20 does not help you at 50, when your rotations will be entirely different and you will have access to a whole slew of new abilities. The leveling game should be fun – don’t skip over it because you want to test out a raiding spec at level 20.
